Often a pet is surrendered because an owner feels they have no choice. We may be able to help find alternatives to surrendering.
When you open your home to a pet who needs help, they really do show their appreciation for the rest of their life! Adopt today!
Some pets get adopted fast.
Others? They’re still waiting for their moment — and we think it’s time to change that.
Right now, 19 dogs and 10 cats at the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center have been with us longer than we’d like. They’re funny, sweet, goofy, cuddly, adventurous, laid-back and completely ready to trade shelter life for the good stuff: couches, walks, treats, sunny windows and a family of their own.
So over the next several weeks, we’re putting the spotlight exactly where it belongs — on them.
Maybe you want a walking buddy.
Maybe your couch has an suspiciously empty spot.
Maybe your cat has been asking for a roommate. Okay, maybe not asking — but hear us out.
Whatever your life looks like, one of our long-term residents just might fit right into it.
Our featured long-term dogs have a reduced adoption fee of $35 — regularly $125.
Their adoption includes:
Spay or neuter
Age-appropriate vaccines
Microchip
Flea treatment
Deworming
That means they’re ready for the next part.
You.

You don’t need to walk in knowing which pet is “the one.” Sometimes it’s the dog who leans into you for scratches. The cat who reaches a paw through the kennel. The one you weren’t planning to meet at all.
That’s how it happens.
Already have a full house? You can still help get someone home.

Because somewhere out there is the person they’ve been waiting for.
Let’s help them find each other.
